Rusea’s motor on in daCosta Cup
Former champions Rusea's continued their businesslike march in this year's ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup with their fifth consecutive win yesterday when they defeated Cambridge High 4-0 at Colin Miller Complex.
The win has given Rusea's a six-point lead in Zone B over Frome, who maintained their second spot in the group with nine points after a 7-0 hammering of Merlene Ottey.
Elsewhere, Cornwall College secured their fourth when they took care of St James High 2-0 to maintain their lead atop Zone A with 13 points.
Irwin kept in touching distance in second place in the group with 11 points after they got the better of Maldon 2-0.
Over in Zone K, Morant Bay sealed their fourth consecutive win to maintain their perfect record atop the group with a 4-2 win over Robert Lightbourne.
In other results, Wycliffe Martin High thrashed Carron Hall 5-0, while St Mary High clipped St Mary Technical 3-2.
