Updated | Farmer struck by lightning while on roof in Bethel Town

A farmer on Friday died after being struck by lightning in Bethel Town, Westmoreland.

Deceased is 38-year-old O'Dean Porter, of Marl Road in the parish.

Porter was on the roof of his house when he was struck by lightning.

He was assisted to hospital but died while being transported.

The incident is being investigated by the police.
