Levell's bronze a big statement
Bryan Levell beamed a huge smile of satisfaction when the big screen showed that he had won a photo finish for the bronze medal in a 200-metre World Championship won by the United States' Noah Lyles.
Levell, just 21, had led coming off the bend but was just overhauled by Lyles and his second-placed US compatriot Kenny Bednarek on the run in, but managed to hold off the charge of outgoing champion Letsile Tebogo from Botswana.
Levell also had the huge satisfaction of clocking a lifetime's best 19.64 - five hundredths of a second below his previous personal best.
For Lyles, who clocked 19.52, one-hundredth of a second outside his semi-final win, it was a fourth 200-metre title to go with those won at Doha, Eugene and Budapest.
Bednareck produced a season's best 19.58 for second, while Tebogo stopped the clock at 19.65.
